Bonjour, I am Alexia, I am a native French speaker and I was born and raised in France. I have been teaching French for several years to people from all over the world and I participated in the Alliance Française ("DAEFLE") to become a certified teacher. I had the pleasure of helping more than 1000 students coming from many different countries, both big ones such as the USA, UK, Australia, Germany...but also smaller ones like Iceland, New Zealand, Perù, Panama and many more. Also, I have lived in 3 French-speaking countries: France (in Paris), Canada (in Quebec) and Switzerland (in Lausanne), which allowed me to understand all the linguistic differences in the French language. Even though I speak French 90% of the time in the advanced course, the course is designed for English speakers. As English and French are quite different languages, sometimes in the course I write explanations in English, so it will be easier for you to understand the main concepts, and it will make the transition to French smoother and easier to understand.
This course will help you further develop your French skills and build upon your existing knowledge of the language. To fully appreciate this course, you need to have a basic understanding of French. For example, you need to know how the articles work, and you need to be familiar with some basic vocabulary. But no worries, everything is carefully explained, and I try not to give for granted too many concepts.
